Jawbone®

UP

The Jawbone 2 comes with three different earbuds to provide you a better chance of finding one that is the right fit. A suitable earbud is one that fits snugly in your ear. This will help the Voice Activity Sensor (the white peg located on the underside of the Jawbone) stay in constant contact with your face. This is important in making sure you can be heard properly. Be sure to read our article that explains how to remove and attach the earbuds.

Once you find the right earbud, simply use an earloop that fits over your ear. We have provided two different sizes (medium and large) and styles of earloops (slim and fine leather) to provide you the right balance of comfort and fit. Each earloop is designed to fit over either your right and left ear.

EXAMPLES OF PROPER FIT:

EXAMPLES OF IMPROPER FIT:

  1. Extreme angles that should be avoided for optimal voice transmission and clarity. Contrast this photo against the photo in "Good Fit", which shows the optimal position for the Jawbone 2, which is angled toward the mouth.
  2. Here, the Voice Activity Sensor is not touching the user's cheek. This will cause the caller to not be heard properly. In addition, the caller may experience call quality issues such as background noise or sounding far away (not loud enough) to the person receiving the call.
